The club was established 2.9.1965 in Kauniainen, Finland
and was named as Suomen Sveitsinpaimenkoirat - Finlands Sennenhundar.
In 6.5.1972 Finnish Kennel Club approved this club as an official breed club.
Purpose of the club:
to arouse interest in all four Swiss Mountain & Cattle Dog breeds
